Welcome to the Pleasanton Lacrosse Club Web Site

Started in 2002 with 2 teams, 1-Pup and 1-Jr. Pup, the Pleasanton Lacrosse Club has grown year after year. In 2012 we sponsored 11 youth boys lacrosse teams with over 200 players, ranging in age levels from U9 to High School JV boys.

Our Mission: PLC is a nonprofit organization founded to provide our youth the opportunity to play lacrosse and have a positive, character building experience. Through the game of lacrosse players learn lessons that will last a lifetime. We focus our coaching in three areas, Athletic Skills, Lacrosse Skills, and Work Ethic. By these three principals we will explore life lessons, exploit teachable moments, and provide a fun character building lacrosse experience on and off the field to our young athletes. At all times we will adhere to the Positive Coaching Alliance “Double-Goal” coaching principal of striving to win while achieving a more important goal of using sports to teach life lessons.

Pleasanton Lacrosse Club - Boys Youth Summer League

The cost for the Boys Youth Summer League program is only $100, which includes 10 hours of instruction and five games. This is the best youth sports deal around!

PLC summer league program is designed to teach new players the game, help current players improve their skills, and challenge top players to take their game to the next level. The program starts Thursday, June 20th and will run through Sunday, July 28. Practice and instruction will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Games will be played Sunday mornings from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

This summer Pleasanton Lacrosse is planning to have several highly experienced lacrosse players and coaches lead the Thursday evening instructional sessions and coach the teams on Sunday.

We are also planning to bring in guest college and high school coaches to supplement our instructional program on Thursday evenings. As we finalize dates for these coaches we will communicate them to everyone.

New players trying lacrosse for the first time can also rent equipment for a small fee. So pass the word to all your friends. Summer League is open for all boys in elementary and middle school. Pleasanton Lacrosse would like to announce its first Summer Lacrosse Guest Coach, John Christmas. John will be joining PLC Summer Lacrosse participants on Thursday, June 20. During the 6-8pm training session John will have a booth setup at the field selling clothing and gear from his 141 lacrosse apparel company. Many of you are familiar with John's lacrosse career but here are a few of his many career lacrosse highlights:

3x High School All-American (first in PA Commonwealth history)

College:
·         Four-year starter at attack for Virginia
·         Named second-team All-America as a junior in addition to earning All-ACC status
·         Scored career-high 36 goals during junior season, which led the team and was among the national leaders
·         Named National Rookie of the Year by Inside Lacrosse during 2002 season
·         Named third-team All-America as a senior in addition to earning All-ACC status
·         Played on 2003 National Championship Team at Virginia
·         Selected by the Philadelphia Wings (Indoor Box) in the fifth round (49th overall) of the 2005 NLL Entry Draft.
·         Selected by the Boston Cannons in the first round of the 2005 MLL Collegiate Draft.
·         Won the MLL Most Improved Player honors in his second season in the league, and appeared in the 2006 MLL All-Star Game.
·         Named to Team USA in the 2007 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.
